Once I knew that Vin Diesel was in Guardians of the Galaxy (he does the voice of Groot) I was immediately interested in seeing the movie…well that and I also happen to love Marvel films (but Vin Diesel is definitely what first peaked my interest). After a long day, I settled in my seat at the theater and hoped it was good and you know what? it was better than good! I LOVED it and I really can’t wait to see it again!!!!
It really does have it all; a good story, comedy, action and great characters that really bring the movie to life. That may have something to do with the characters being well cast…I mean they have, Vin Diesel (Groot), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Chris Pratt (Peter Quill aka Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Zamora) and Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer).
While I am biased about my favorite character…Groot (because it’s voiced by Vin Diesel…not that it needed explanation) there is something to love about each character. A group of selfish thugs become Guardians of the galaxy…it goes to show that there is good in us all!
Since I was able to screen the movie during my trip to LA, my hubby attended a pre-screening of Guardians of the Galaxy with our 5 year old son and here’s what he had to say.
*I do want to point out that there were a few bad words (but not the major ones) and someone used the middle finger but my son didn’t pick up on it.
I am always impressed when Marvel finds a way to tie the movies together and they did it again. I can’t wait to see this movie again and of course part 2 of Guardians Of The Galaxy.
