After watching a pre-screening of the film The Hundred-Foot Journey and seeing all the fabulous dishes they made in the movie, we headed on over to Le Cordon Bleu in LA to make our own Indian and French inspired dishes.

We started off with a tour of the facility and then we munched on some appetizers while the chef explained the dish we would be preparing.

I was doing my best to follow along so that I wouldn’t mess the recipe up (which I tend to do)…thankfully we had assistance while cooking or that would have been the case.

Once we were ready to prepare our Parisian Mumbai Salad, I suited up in my Hundred-Foot Journey apron…all we were missing were the hats!

  • I would wait until the chicken is being cooked before preparing the apple and mango slices so that they don’t brown.
  • Wear latex gloves when dealing with the curry because the smell of curry on my fingers lingered despite washing my hands 10 different times.
