This blog post is part of a paid SocialMoms and Silk Fruit & Protein blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.
I am not the kind of person who can wake up and eat something right away. That being the case, I end up having a hard time deciding what to eat for breakfast in the morning because nothing seems appealing. That combined with being bad about making decisions, I usually end up drinking something and hope it keeps me going until lunch time. Apparently, I seem to have no problems eating lunch and dinner..but that’s another post.
The problem with doing that most mornings is that if I continue to drink the same thing all the time, I eventually get tired of drinking it. The key to keeping my taste buds happy is finding drinks that are yummy and alternating them. It’s good to mix things up every once in a while otherwise you’ll get bored with drinking the same thing day after day. In other words, Shake Up Your Wake Up!
My son is a big juice fanatic. I literally have to make him drink a glass of water before I allow him to have anymore juice just to make sure he drinks water each day and because of his love for juice, he’ll do it. So, if I can find a “juice” that is tasty and also nutritious it’s an added bonus. That’s why I liked the idea of trying Silk Fruit & Protein. It is filled with Calcium, Vitamin D and Vitamin C. Plus, it contains a good source of protein that other juices don’t have (Each glass serves 5 grams of protein).
Silk Fruit & Protein is a new twist on ordinary juice and it comes in three flavors: Mixed Berry, Strawberry Banana and Mango Peach. I get the feeling that my daughter would love Mixed Berry and my son would love the Strawberry Banana flavor.
