With no instruction manual, I knew that despite having done some babysitting I would need advice on how to care for a child of my own. New moms learn from other moms, so when I became pregnant for the first time (and the second), I sought advice from family members and friends, I attended classes and did a lot of research online. Even now, as my kids experience different stages in life, I am still asking for advice. It is never ending.

Whether you are a new mom or seasoned mom, we all learn from one another. Just as we think we have have things figured out, the kiddos do something that remind you that you don’t. With that being said, here are a few reminders:

***Show yourself grace. No one is perfect and trying to live up to that will drive you crazy.

***What works for one kid may very well not work for the other. Both my kids are completely different.

***Enjoy every moment. While I want to say you should capture every moment on camera, there is a joy that comes from being in the moment so try to find a way to do both. Instead of 25 pictures of that same moment/pose, only do 5.

***With all the expenses that come along with having kids, saving where you can while not compromising value, especially when it comes to baby formula, is important.
