Having loved the first Ant-Man movie and visiting the set where I learned about the story line and chatted with some of the cast, I expected Ant-Man and the Wasp would be a great film. Thankfully, after watching the film this past weekend, I can say that it exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed watching the movie, which is why I have already bought my family and I (along with some friends), tickets to see it.
Here are a 5 reasons you should go and see Ant-Man and the Wasp
It’s funny!
Given its cast and how much they made us laugh in the first film, you can imagine just how funny this film is. I laughed…a lot.
The women in this film kick butt both literally and figuratively
The female characters in this film are AMAZING!!! At the end of Ant-Man, one of the post credit scenes showed Hope receiving her Wasp outfit. We knew then that suiting up would be in her future, what I didn’t know was how great her character would be. Both The Wasp and Ghost are fierce!
It is a movie you can watch with your family
Not only is it a movie that is “safe” for your young children to watch, it is a movie that they will enjoy. As a parent, I was relieved that there are no sex scenes or sexual innuendos and there was only one bad word, “B*llsh*t”.
The movie has it all. Action, Comedy, Heart
There are a wide range of emotions you experience while watching this movie. You are enthralled in the action, cracking up with the comedy and it pulls on your heart strings with the family dynamics there are in this film.
It’s a Marvel film
Even though the Ant-Man stories seem to be stand alone films when it comes to the story line, they all connect in some way. So, if you are as invested in the Marvel films as we are, you’ve got to go see this movie.
VERY IMPORTANT…
There are 2 post credit film scenes. If you can’t stay for both (which I suggest you do), you need to stay for the 1st one.
