Let me give a disclaimer here, Young Justice is my favorite cartoon of all time! I mean my son’s favorite cartoon of all time…O.K., O.K., we both love it! That being said, when I got the chance to review Young Justice Invasion: Destiny Calling Season 2 Part 1 DVD, I couldn’t turn on the DVD player fast enough. I wanted to watch it right away.
If you love or even like superheroes, you will truly enjoy this DVD series. Young Justice is a team of super heroes sidekicks (Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis) who are supervised by the big guns like Batman and Superman. They are basically the minor leagues of the Justice League.
Season 2 is even better than season 1 and each episode is better than the last. This season jumps ahead 5 years with the original team and its newer members (Nightwing, Batgirl, Wondergirl, Beast Boy and Blue Beetle) as they fight against a secret alien invasion that is affecting the planet. Don’t worry if you missed Season 1, you won’t be lost.
