Want to see a movie that you (the parents) and your children can enjoy? If so, You should be going to see The Croods.
My family and I had the chance to watch The Croods at a pre-screening during the Miami Int’l Film Festival and we loved it! So much so that I couldn’t wait for its release into theaters so that everyone could see it. Not only did it have us all laughing but it also pulls at your heart strings (I’ll admit that at one point I was crying).
It’s a story about family from the cave man era who apparently is the only remaining family and they are trying to survive when suddenly they are forced to leave what they have known and set off on an adventure that leads them to discover and explore a whole new world.
The dad loves his family and would do anything to protect them but he overly cautious. On the other hand, his daughter just wants to enjoy all that life has to offer… which as you can imagine causes some friction in their relationship. I love how the film does an accurate portrayal of capturing their relationship and how a father struggles letting go of his little girl.
I could be mistaken but I don’t remember there being any inappropriate content or innuendos. The Croods is entertaining and very funny throughout the entire film because each character is unique and brings life to the movie. It really is a movie the ENTIRE family will enjoy.
Disclosure: My family and I were invited to attend this screening with no expectation of a post but I loved the movie so much that I just had to share it with you all.
