The Amazing Spider-Man is now in theaters and it is definitely worth watching!!! My hubby and I had the chance to check out the film in 3D at a pre-screening last week and we both really enjoyed it. As I have mentioned before, both my hubby and my son are Super Hero fanatics, so there was no way he would have let me go without him. Being that my hubby loves his comic books and remembers everything about the characters, which makes no sense to me since he can’t even remember what he did yesterday, I am always concerned that he will be more critical of the film.Ā For the sake of this movie review. we’ll call my hubby an “expert” on Spider-man (spicing things up around here). Here’s what the movie expert thought about The Amazing Spider-Man, which by the way he thought was really well done:
- The characters were believable and had good chemistry.
- Each of the pieces came together to tell Peter Parker’s story in such a way that it kept you wanting to know more.
- There was a lot more use of his web for things other than swinging.
While this doesn’t happen often, I actually agree with my hubby…LOL.Ā I felt a connection to Peter Parker’s character because

you get a good look into his life and while there is a lot going on with Peter Parker, there is no confusing story line (which was a relief). I found his evolution to becoming Spider-man both interesting and believable, you get to see his inspirations and how he uses it to make it all come together. I thought the movie was very entertaining. The movie is a film that I would see with my kiddos. I believe there were 2 minor curse words in it but not enough to where I was bothered by it.
Stan Lee makes his cameo, as always, but I loved how they went about doing it this time around…I thought it was funny.
* I suggest watching it in 3D because it looks really cool and really makes the film pop.
** Wait a bit after the credits for a movie clip you don’t want to miss!
