I had the opportunity to attend a Pre-screening of the film “John Carter”, which opens in theaters on Friday 3/9, with my dad. We were excited about seeing the film because from what we saw of the previews, it seemed pretty awesome.  Although you never know if the movie will live up to the hype and the previews, this movie sure did and I LOVED  it!   When it comes to movies, I am a fan of action, romance and comedy and “John Carter” had it all.  It is definitely a movie worth watching!

My dad and I don’t see eye to eye on whether or not it is appropriate for young children.  So, I’ll just say that it really depends on how you feel your children will handle seeing strange creatures (after all they are in Mars).   If you do decide to take the kiddos to see the movie, at least you won’t have to worry about indecent scenes or inappropriate language, which is a relief.

My favorite character was Dejah, a princess who is strong, smart and willing to risk it all for her city.  On a side note, I actually got the chance to interview Lynn Collins, the actress who plays her.  You can read the interview HERE.

So if you are looking for a film to watch this weekend and you aren’t sure which one to see….you now have your answer: “John Carter”
