In Season 7 of How I Met Your Mother, the gang deals with Lily’s hormones and her “pregnancy brain.”
In honor of How I Met Your Mother: The Complete Season 7 out on Blu-ray and DVD on October 2nd Here are some tips on how to keep your cool while pregnant and dealing with “Pregnancy Brain”
- Make Lists…Take the time to write things down when they pop into your mind. Just don’t forget where you put the list! Be sure to put them in visible places like the refrigerator.
- Repetition…repeat whatever you would like to remember over and over and make it a point mentally note things that may help jog your memory.
- Hold off on making Big Decisions…Some life decisions can’t wait until after the baby is born but whenever possible take the time to think your decision through. You should also seek the counsel of your trusted family and friends.
- Relax…You are not alone! Many women go through “pregnancy brain”. Don’t stress over the small stuff, take naps and satisfy some of those pregnancy-induced cravings.
- Laugh About it…Your loved ones will probably be more humored than bothered by your lack of wherewithal. So laugh it off with or without them
- Become a Mommy…Once your bundle of joy arrives your brain should function as normal (well as normal as it can be with a newborn anyways…LOL)
