Getting to enjoy Nature and the outdoors without actually having to be outside to do so is an ideal situation for me. Thankfully, I was able to do just that while I was in LA last month because I was able to pre-screen Disneynature Bears. I was able to get a glimpse into the life of a bear but from the comfort of the Walt Disney Studios Lot Screening room.

Disneynature Bears is a cute film that takes you on a journey of the life of a mama bear and her 2 cubs as they venture out into the world in search of food before they will have to go into hibernation again. Finding salmon to fill their bellies is vital to their survival and it is no easy task. Not only the task itself but also because of the various obstacles that stand in their way.

Don’t worry though, it’s not all doom and gloom (I’d let my 5 year old and 7 year old watch it). It is eye opening, educational.

BTW They have some cute Bears items…like my new friend Amber.

If you decide to purchase one, the Disney Store will contribute $1 to the NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION for every BEARS plush purchased between now and 5/11/14.

They also have Limited-Edition Disneynature Bears DODOcase for the iPad Air, iPad Mini & for the iPhone. More information on those here.

Disneynature Bears is now playing in theaters.  Opening weekend is the best time to go an see it because if you go and see the film during opening weekend, Disneynature will make a donation in your name to National Park Foundation.  To learn more about the National Park Foundation, visit www.NationalParks.org

Disclosure: I went on this trip as part of a Disney press trip. All of my travel, lodging and meal expenses were covered by them. No other compensation was received. However, all opinions/thoughts are 100% my own
