Most children love learning about and playing with Dinosaurs. My children are no different which is how I knew the Dino Dan DVD 4-Pack we received for review would catch their attention. Although I had heard of Dino Dan and my kids had watched it on Nick Jr. before, I had never watched the episodes with them. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that both my kids really enjoyed Dino Dan and were captivated by the Dino Dan episodes.
This non-cartoon show centers around a little 10 year old boy named Dan Henderson who wants to be a paleontologist one day. The thing is, he can actually see dinosaurs walking around his neighborhood, and has daily adventures with them. Dan also involves his little brother Trek and his friends from school in his adventures. My kids loved the dinosaurs and they enjoyed Dan’s way of problem-solving using scientific methods. It has a lot of humor as well as life lessons and fun interaction with the larger than life dinosaurs. I love shows that both teach engage my children.
Synopsis:
Dino Dan is an ordinary 10-year old boy with an extraordinary obsession: he eats, sleeps and breathes dinosaurs. A typical day for Dan isn’t complete unless he’s racing a T-Rex on his school track, finding a Pterodactylus in his attic or getting a baby Brachiosaurus back to its mom. But kids don’t need to imagine dinosaurs because in Dino Dan, dinosaurs lurk around every corner, they’re behind every mystery, they fuel every adventure, and they help answer questions, too!
