Having previously interviewed Mila Kunis and loving it, I was really excited about interviewing her and Kathryn Hahn for their roles in Bad Moms. It was such a fun interview!!! Not only are they awesome actors but they are loving moms and super fun people!
Here are 10 Fun things I learned during our Bad Moms Interview with Mila Kunis and Kathryn Hahn…
- Both Mila Kunis and Kathryn Hahn have had a “Bad Mom” moment…one involved not strapping in their child during a car ride and the other involved a diaper changing incident.
- While filming the party scene, there was a torrential rainstorm in New Orleans, that left everything outside flooded them which meant all them (about 200 people) were stuck indoors (but only on the 1st floor because there were people living upstairs).
- After 3 days of filming the party scene, Mila Kunis gave herself whiplash. They also all got really sick after that.
- Kathryn’s character, Carla, is Mila’s favorite.
- As a mom, Kathryn Hahn realized that we get a short amount of time in their childhood. So she tries to enjoy it.
- If Mila Kunis could go back in time and give her 16-year-old self advice she would tell herself that her parents are not against her. She wishes she had realized sooner just how much her parents unconditionally love her…she didn’t understand that until she had her own child.
- Kathryn Hahn’s daughter doesn’t think Mila Kunis is funny, she just doesn’t like her humor.
- Mila Kunis a hundred percent subscribes to mom guilt, but not intentionally.
- When it comes to dealing with mom guilt as a result of working, Kathryn Hahn had an awesome therapist who once told her that “If it’s what it is and okay for you, then that’s all they know”.
- Kathryn loves that there’s something in each one of these six women in the film that we either recognize or dream about being.
About the film:
In this new comedy from the grateful husbands and devoted fathers who wrote The Hangover, Amy has a seemingly perfect life – a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career. However she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she’s about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities – going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence – putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.
Bad Moms is in theaters this Friday, July 29th.
