Whether you’re a child or an adult, Dr. Seuss always puts a smile on your face. So imagine being on board a cruise ship that offers Dr. Seuss fun for the whole family to enjoy…Doesn’t that sounds awesome? Well, It is! I can say that because while my family and I were on board the Carnival Freedom over the summer we got to enjoy Seuss at Sea (and we loved it).
What’s great is that not only did the kiddos have fun but we were able to sneak in some reading (which is educational). It was a win, win. Here’s what you and your family can enjoy with Seuss at Sea…
Dr. Seuss Bookville
Before or after Camp Ocean, families can stop by Dr. Seuss Bookville and read some of our favorite Dr. Seuss books or discover new ones.
Bookville was extremely inviting. The decor was so colorful and featured Dr.Seuss books, toys and comfy furniture (which my kiddos also played on).
Seuss-a-palooza Character Parade
There also a Seuss-a-palooza Character Parade that your kiddos can be a part of.
What’s great is that even the parents can join in on the fun. My hubby and I did.
Seuss-a-palooza Story Time
The parade then leads us to an interactive reading event called Seuss-a-palooza Story Time featuring Cat in the Hat.
Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast
One of the my favorite Dr. Seuss Family events was the Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast which was beautifully decorated in Dr. Seuss decor.
Not only did we get visits from Cat in the Hat and his Friends.
We also enjoyed a delicious (and fun) meal for only $5 per person.

- Be sure to make a reservation for the Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast.
- If you’re going to participate in the Parade, Interative Story and Breakfast, consider purchasing Dr. Seuss Apparel for your kiddos. If you can’t find any, they had some toys available at one of the shops.
