Excited was an understatement as we stepped aboard the Carnival Breeze. I had been hoping to go on a family cruise for some time and I just couldn’t believe that the time had finally arrived.

Once inside the massive ship, we immediately headed to our cabin (room) on the 8th floor so that we could drop off our luggage (I was ready to eat). I was anxious to see the room we would call home for the next 8 days (when you have kids with you, that’s a big concern). Thankfully, our balcony room was spacious enough for us to be comfortable.

The room had 2 twin beds pushed together for my hubby and I and the kids each had their own bunk bed. It was a cool set up, a functional use of space.

We loved having a balcony. Our kiddos just loved sitting out there and it was great being able to wake up and step outside to enjoy the view. Now that we’ve had a balcony cabin, I don’t think I can go back to not having one. Check out the view from our balcony HERE.

After we scoped out our room, we hit the pool area for some lunch (I always have food on my mind). I wasted no time on stuffing my face. I started my voyage by eating from both the BlueIguana Cantina and Guy’s Burger Joint (If you think that’s bad, my eating habits only got worse as our vacation progressed). Trust me when I say that you will not go hungry on the Carnival Breeze. In fact, there are so many restaurants to dine at that I’ll be doing a separate blog post about it.

There was so much to do on the ship (more about that later) and the staff was great. Not only did they take the time to remember our names but they went above and beyond to take note of our likes and needs. I don’t know how they did it considering how many people they help in any given day.

To say that we had an incredible time aboard the Carnival Breeze is an understatement. We were able to enjoy some quality time together as a family and I also got some alone time with my hubby. None of us wanted to get off the ship. In the next few weeks I’ll be sharing more about our experiences with food, the ports and excursions, Camp Carnival and all the fun things we did while on our vacation.

Stay tuned for more…
Disclosure: I have been invited to take 8 day Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard Carnival Breeze. However, my love for cruises started long before I was invited on this press trip. ALL opinions are my own!

I’ve never been on a Carnival Cruise before. Looks like y’all had a wonderful time. The food looks delicious!
It was amazing and the food was delicious 🙂
sounds like fun!!
hey Leanette. I’ve been meaning to come out to your site and just got lost in life. Then low and behold I am strolling through Walmart and see your picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’re a star. Did you know that? Of course you did. LOL. The cruise was great. It was so good to meet your and your family. Our crew really enjoyed being around each other and one half didn’t know the other. So we are trying to plan a ski trip. They are crazy in love with each other. Guess what….of course me, myself and I know how to pick friends. But anyhoots. I have the picture somewhere in our collages of photos of us in the restaurant. I will send it as soon as I find it. I hope all is swell in your world. Great site. Take care.
Rooms!!! Thank you so much my biggest problem when booking cruises to fear of the room size. I love when people post pictures so I can see exactly what I’m getting!
Wow – looks like you had a super fun trip! A cruise is definitely on my bucket list!
I am planning a cruise on the Breeze for next year. This cabin looks nice and spacious! What this a suite? Thanks so much for sharing?
Not sure if it was a suite. It was a balcony room on the 8th floor and it was spacious enough for my family of 4.
