While we were in Universal Studios, my family and I went on the E.T. ride and while we enjoyed it, trying to explain the story behind it to my kiddos wasn’t easy. I mean what do you say…a boy finds an alien, befriends him and helps him get home while flying in front of the moon on his bike? I guess I could tell the that BUT they wouldn’t get it. This is why I was glad that E.T. became available on Blu-ray & DVD so that we could watch it together. I am not quite sure they totally got it. However, they did enjoy it and the ride we went on made more sense to them.
I can’t believe it celebrated its 30th Anniversary!!! Did you enjoy E.T. as a child? It was nice being able to see the movie in such great quality. It’s different being able to experience it as an adult…
