Madagascar 3 is finally out in theaters today and it is definitely a movie you and your kiddos should go and see!!!
Before I tell you why you should see the film we’ll need to have a truth moment: As soon as I saw the preview for this movie and saw Marty, the zebra, dressed up in his circus afro with polka dots all over his body and singing that catchy song (which is now my ring tone) I was instantly hooked and I knew I’d be watching it. But it’s not like I kept rewinding that scene over and over again just to memorize the words because that would be silly….FINE, I did that too!!!!
Now that I have told you the truth (maybe even over shared), you can understand why I was uber excited when we won tickets to see Madagascar 3 at an advance screening this past Saturday. I think I was more excited than the kids were!
Madagascar 3 is entertaining and funny throughout the entire film, there was never a time that my kiddos zoned out because of boredom. Even the adults were into it which is a plus!

As a parent I am always concerned with bad language or inappropriate content and it was a relief that there was none of that in this movie.
I am not always a fan of watching the film in 3D but if your kids don’t mind it, you should definitely watch this movie in 3D! The 3D effects on this film are so awesome that my kids were jumping because they thoughts the objects were going to hit them (and that’s when you know it’s good…LOL).
You can still watch this movie even if you haven’t seen the 2 previous movies and not be totally confused…but of course it helps if you have seen them because you’ll get a better idea as to all they have been through together and why.
