A mothers love is special
It cannot be quantified
For it dwells within a place
So very deep inside
Mom is always there for you
To keep you safe and cheer you on
To nurture and console you
And show you right from wrong
A mothers love is precious
Yet her work may go unsung
Oh such joy and such heartache
We bring when we are young
Mom is nurse, caregiver, teacher
Counselor, friend and mentor
Her world has many facets
But her child is at her center
So it is with love and understanding
Of her patience and dedication
We offer our heartfelt gratitude
And our warmest admiration
Without her love to guide us
We would not have come this far
A mother’s love is special
She’s truly a guiding star
