All dressed up, in a dress I waited until the last minute to buy, I headed on over to the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard for the pre-party celebration of Pete’s Dragon World Premiere!!!
Keeping with the film’s “magical” theme, the party was full of food, celebrities and fun things to do. Before the event filled with people, I made my way around the party to see all the cool things they had for us to enjoy. Besides food, there was an area to make bracelets and take Pete’s Dragon photos.
While I was there I also did a video promo fort my upcoming film, “Leanette’s Dragon” …coming soon to a theater near you.
I even got an airbrushed Butterfly Tattoo
What’s a red green carpet premiere without celebrities? I was able to snag pictures with:
Josh Gad
Tiffany Thiessen
Lou Diamond Phillips
Joey Fatone
Scott Speedman
Constance Marie
*She was so cool…she even chose the spot to take the picture at because of the good lighting
Patton Oswalt
Matthew Lillard
As I walked the “green” carpet, I ran into:
Beverley Mitchell
*who was super nice! We chatted over her trying to get her daughter a stuffed Elliot.
Auli’i Cravalho
*She does the voice of Moana and is such a sweetie pie!
After the movie, I came across
Brett Dalton
* I told him what a major fan, this is how it went:
Me: Can I please get a picture with you? I am major fan
Brett: A major fan?
Me: Yep. Even though your character s a total bad guy, I am still a fan!
Best Friends Whenever Cast
*I wanted to earn cool points with my daughter who is a fan of the show.
It was a magical evening and although I’ll have my official review of the film up soon, what I can say is that I really enjoyed it!
Pete’s Dragon flies into theaters on August 12th!
“Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just so happens to be a dragon. For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliot. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliot seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.

While in LA, I also received a special tour of The El Capitan Theater (but more on that in a future post)

This was a super fun event and I am glad that we were able to meet. You got a lot of cool celebrity picures.
