
Just this week my blood pressure was high and I get the feeling it has a lot to do with stress. Stress not only puts a damper into your life, it is also unhealthy for your body. I get that it is a natural part of life and that it sometimes feels like it is out of your control BUT there are some ways to relieve stress that are super easy to do!
Here are 7 Easy Ways to Relieve Stress
1. Sleep
Sleep is probably one of the most important ways to reduce stress and it is Free and Easy to do, LOL.
2. Exercise
While it pains me to say this, exercise is not only good for you physically, it also good for you mentally.
3. Find a way to unwind
Read a good book, have a mini dance party or simply watch TV.
4. Let It Out
Talk to your family or friends about what’s going on or put on a movie that makes you cry and watch it (but don’t forget the tissues!).
5. Watch what you eat
Apparently, certain foods can trigger certain emotions!
6. Disconnect
Ouch! This one hurts more than me suggesting exercise. If we disconnect from technology on our phones and computers we can truly begin to relax. Not only does it give our mind a rest but it also keeps us from seeing, reading or engaging in something that causes your stress level to rise.
