When traveling with kids, I love being able to stay somewhere that offers both the comforts of home and the amenities of a hotel. That is why my kiddos and I enjoyed staying at Pelican Beach Resort while were in Destin, Florida this summer.

Our unit offered a master bedroom with its own bathroom, 2 bunk beds (which my kiddos loved), an additional bathroom, a kitchen, dining room table, TV’s and cable in the room and living room.  Plus, the sofa was a sofa bed.

Pelican Beach Resort Unit Features

Not only was it spacious for us to move around in but we were comfortable.  The kids were able to unwind in one area and I was able to unwind in another.  It was great!

Want to know the best part? It was right on the beach!!!!! We loved waking up, opening up the blinds and looking out onto the Gulf of Mexico from our balcony.

We also loved being able to walk right down to the beach to take a dip in the water or build sand castles.

Pelican Beach Resort Teach Me 2 Save Time, Money & Sanity Tips

  • While I didn’t cook any meals , the refrigerator did come in handy.  If you are staying for a long period of time, you should definitely so some grocery shopping and cook some meals in the kitchen.
  • If you happen to be near the trash chute, don’t freak out and get scared if you hear loud noises if someone decides to dump their trash early in the morning or late at night.
