Wrath of Man is filled with action and violence and reminds you that there is nothing someone won’t do for love (and revenge).

Recently hired as a new security guard for a cash truck company, you can tell that H isn’t there to make friends but what no one knows is that he is there for a reason. As time passes, the crew learns that there is more to him that he has let on and we all find out why he is there. H has a score to settle and he will settle it by any means necessary.
Jason Statham kicks butt in Wrath of Man but I expected no less from him, This film delivers all the action we have come to expect from him over the years and did not disappoint. Although, I do feel that his hiring process and first day on the job scenes dragged on for way too long and didn’t seem to add anything to the film. Unless recognizing they weren’t really a nice group of people was essential to the storyline. thankfully, the movie picked up fairly early on and was non-stop until the end.
In its most basic form, this could be summed up as another man seeking revenge story, but what is wrong with that if it’s at least entertaining? Nothing. Nothing at all. However, it should be noted that this film was more than just another revenge film because they found ways to creatively enhance the story. One such example was how they broke the film into various “chapters”, I am not sure if that’s what you would classify them as but they even had titles, so I am going with it.
While I didn’t love the back and forth they did with the movie’s timeline, I understand that it was needed to offer various perspectives to the story. By doing it, it offered depth to the story and pulled you in even more.
Overall Thoughts
If you enjoy action films and a ton of violence the Wrath of man is the movie for you. Jason Statham has a certain coolness to him that draws you in, no matter what role he is playing and he is no different in Wrath of Man. I guess it goes without saying that there is a ton of violence, blood and bad words in this film, so keep that in mind if it isn’t your thing.
Oh and I love that Josh Hartnett and Post Malone were in the movie.
Wrath of Man opens exclusively in theaters on May 7, 2021.
About Wrath of Man
Mysterious and wild-eyed, a new security guard for a cash truck surprises his co-workers when he unleashes precision skills during a heist. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman’s ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.
I’m sure this was action packed I haven’t got a chance to see it yet.
