Note: Thank you Sawgrass Mills for sponsoring today’s post. Although I was provided a gift card for my back-to-school shopping, All opinions expressed about my experience are my own.
When it comes to Back-to-School Shopping with the kids, I have to think strategically to avoid a meltdown (on my part). That usually means going to one place where I have a variety of stores to choose from and where I can get what they need for school at prices that I can afford. That’s why, my kiddos and I headed on over to Sawgrass Mills Mall earlier this week.
Not only was I able to acess a variety of stores, I was also able to take advantage of their sales and use coupons on top of it all for even more savings.

Take advantage of Tax-Free Shopping now through 8/16/15
The 2015 Back-T0-School Sales Tax Holiday is happening right now and ends on 8/16/15. During this time, you can purchase clothing, footwear, certain accessories, school supplies and computers without paying taxes (which means even more savings). Certain restrictions apply, so click here for all of the details.
Take advantage of the sales
Every store we shopped at had some sort of sale going on! Here are 3 stores I really stocked up at:
- Old Navy: Not only did they have uniform shorts and shirts on sale for the kiddos, I was also able to snag some clothing for me that happened to be on clearance. The coupon book has a coupon good for 15% off a purchase of $75 or more.
- Skechers: The kiddos now have their school shoes and I paid full price for 1 and got the 2nd pair for half off. I also used a coupon from that Coupon Book.
- The Childen’s Place: Most of it’s store items were on sale for 50% off, including school uniform shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses and sweaters. Plus, I saved 20% with a coupon from the Sawgrass Coupon Booklet.
Purchase their exclusive coupon booklet
On top of the sales you’ll find at Sawgrass Mills Mall, you can also save even more money when you purchase their exclusive coupon book for only $10. With over 400 coupons, it is definitely worth the money! I loved how I was able to pair them with store sales for an even bigger savings. Plus, I was able to purchase snacks and food with some of its coupons as well.
Other helpful tips for Back-To-School shopping at Sawgrass with the kiddos:
Grab a map
A map will come in handy when you are looking for a specific store. It definitely helped me out!
Rent a shopping cart that you and your kiddos can use
Walking around the mall with a ton of bags can be tiring, especially when you have your kids with you telling you how tired they are. That is why I opted to rent a shopping cart as soon as we got there. It’s only $6- to rent and you actually get $0.50 back when you return it. They are located at the various entrances.
