Have you ever wanted to ask a Sea Turtle a question? Nemo was very curious as to how old a sea turtle really was and his father Marlin was able to ask the Sea Turtle Crush while on his search for Nemo. Well now here is your chance…California Adventure, located across from Disneyland, is a place filled with so many fun things to do one of which is Turtle Talk With Crush.
Turtle Talk With Crush is an interactive show located in the Disney animation building that gives you the chance to communicate and engage with Crush. Your kids are sure to love the chance to talk with Crush! When you walk into the theater style room with comfortable seating you are greeted by a giant screen showcasing a view of under the sea.
Being that your Turtle Talk with Crush experience is based on the audience and the questions they ask, each time is sure to be different. What’s great is that not only does he speak to the audience but he actually engages with the person asking the question. He will ask you your name (and give you a cool surfer name) plus he’ll identify you based on your features or by what you’re wearing for a more personal feel.
While I was in LA for the #DisneyInHomeBloggers Event we (a fabulous group of bloggers) had the chance to ask him some questions and not only is he very knowledgeable but he is also quite funny! Here are some of the questions we asked. Maybe I shouldn’t admit this but I was anxious to ask a question because I wanted a cool name so when I had my chance to ask him about parenting advice, he called me “Laguna Leanette”.
How many kids do you have?
65, Squirt is the youngest
Do you breathe air or water?
We have lungs just like humans do and we need to get a breath of air every 10 to 15 minutes. However when we sleep we can hold our breath for 5 hours.
What do Sea Turtles eat?
We eat green sea grass in kelp which also makes are shell green.
What advice do you have for parents? (My Question)
- “Family is muy importante”…love each other, hang out, play and spend time together.
- Learn to trust your children. Marlin had to learn how to learn to trust his son, Nemo.
Crush also gave us some turtle wisdom
When life sends you a wave, ride it. It takes you where you were meant to be.
Finding Nemo 3D is now in theaters, you can check out my movie review HERE.
Disclosure: I went on this trip as part of a Disney press trip. All of my travel, lodging and meal expenses were covered by them. No other compensation was received. However, all opinions/thoughts are 100% my own.
Sounds like a fun show! A great way to raise awareness and educate kids about sea turtles, which are all endangered. They should bring this show to Disney World, too!
