Is that a Bird? A Plane? No, It’s the Despicablimp!!!!…Hey, I know it’s corny, but I couldn’t resist.

You may or may not remember that last week I posted my bucket list and on it was Take a Blimp ride and yesterday I partially got the chance when my family and I went and saw the Despicablimp. Partial you ask? Well it was too windy to take us up but I did get to go inside and it was hovering above the ground…what do you think, should I cross it off the bucket list?

Either way, seeing the Despicablimp up close and being able to go inside to check it out was pretty cool. Plus, we learned some cool facts about the Despicablimp

  • It’s 55ft High and is tall enough to stack 128 bananas on end.
  • It’s only 1 of 15 airships flying in the world
  • 75 Million golf balls can fit into the Despicablimp
  • It typically flies 1,000 feet above ground but can fly as high as 10,000 feet above ground.
  • It uses less fuel in 2 weeks than a 747 Jumbo Jet uses in 20 seconds
  • It can accommodate 8 passengers and the pilot
  • Blimps use hand signals to communicate since they were built before the radio

Plus my family and I got to see the Minions we love so much! My family and really enjoyed seeing the Despicablimp and meeting the minions.  Needless to say, we are excited about seeing Despicable Me 2 when it comes out on 7/3.
