Last Friday evening my family and I enjoyed a fun evening out together at Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Musical!
We love Alvin and the Chipmunks so when we were invited to attend, we were excited. It was cool to see the Chipmunks & the Chipettes come to life in a fun and interactive way. Not only did they sing and dance to some of our kiddos (and ours) favorite songs but they also interacted with the audience by throwing fake fruit (that my kiddos kept as souvenirs) but they also had streamers and fake snow fall onto the audience, which of course the kids loved. Some of the kids even got up to dance, which they encouraged (I wanted to but my kiddos gave me the look!). I loved the various costume changes and their dance moves…they can dance!!!!!!!
But I’ve got to say that the highlight of our evening was meeting the Chipmunks during the VIP Meet & Greet.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Musical is a music-filled interactive live show featuring the Chipmunks and Chipettes, America’s favorite animated music groups. Based on the characters from the hit Fox movies, the show will bring the music and excitement of a live rock concert to life as the Chipmunks perform hits by One Direction, Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen, Elvis Presley and more!
The Chipmunks are tricked by former arch-nemesis Ian Hawke to perform at a fundraising concert to save a dairy farm in upstate New York that was once the site of the legendary Woodstock music festival. However, with Ian managing the concert, it all might not be what it seems. Join the whole crew as they wind up in hilarious situations on their way to Woodstock. From an “old school” breakdancing competition, to a no-holds-barred food fight, you’ll experience it all LIVE on stage!
Speaking of Alvin and the Chipmunks…
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip crashes into theaters on December 18th.
Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother.
My kiddos and I are really looking forward to seeing this movie!!!
My grandson and I always watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. When they sing we dance too all of their songs.
