All My Life is a beautiful love story that will pull at your heart strings!
Based on a true story, All My Life tells the story of Jennifer and Sol. They meet, fall in love, get engaged, and think they have their whole life ahead of them when they find out that may not be the case. Diagnosed with an aggressive form of liver cancer, they decide to accelerate their marriage plans with the help of their friends and family (and others who donated financially) and show everyone that love knows no bounds.
Despite knowing the outcome, seeing their love story unfold was beautiful and I think they did a good job of telling this story. They did so good in fact, that if you are emotional like I am, you will cry watching this movie…but they won’t just be tears of sadness. You’ll cry some happy tears as well!
While the main love story is between Jenn and Sol, there is a secondary one happening at the same time…friendship. It was really sweet to see. Between their friends and all the people who helped make their wedding happen, there is a prominent theme of people stepping and going above and beyond for the ones they love.
As far as casting goes, I think they did a great job because the chemistry between Jessica Rothe (Jennifer Carter) and Harry Shum (Solomon Chau) was on point. The supporting cast also did a great job of helping us get emotionally involved with this movie. There was good chemistry all around.
I really enjoyed All My Life, but I do love a good emotional film, and there is a whole lot of that in this movie. While I wish there was a typical happy ending for this story, that isn’t real life. This movie is a good reminder to make the most of each moment, to live for today, and to not let your life become a series of forgotten days.
If you are looking for a movie to give you all the feels, grab some tissue and be sure to watch All My Life, now in theaters,
