I was provided with a 2018 Chevy Trax to try for a week. All opinions are my own.
If you’re dreaming of the space capabilities of an SUV but require something a little more compact, then the 2018 Chevrolet Trax might be just what you need. This small SUV has been designed to maximize every inch of space while remaining agile enough for city driving and fitting into tight parking spots; essentially combining the best of both worlds between a traditional SUV and more compact vehicles. As we packed our bags for a week at Disney, I was happy that not only did my family fit comfortably but that we were able to fit what seemed to be like 10 duffel bags worth of luggage into the trunk and we didn’t spend a ton of money on gas to get to and from.
Practicality & Fuel Efficiency: Two Great Reasons to Check Out The 2018 Chevrolet Trax
Many people love how spacious SUVs are, but don’t like driving a huge car that’s going to guzzle a lot of gas. That’s what makes the design of the 2018 Chevrolet Trax so clever: By utilizing eight different seating arrangements, it allows you to transform the backseat in a myriad of ways to accommodate whatever you need – and flip the seats back up when you aren’t hauling much around. By designing the space so that it can transform and be very versatile, Chevrolet is able to make a smaller SUV that can maneuver wherever you need it to go.
And you don’t have to sacrifice fuel efficiency, either: The 2018 Chevrolet Trax gets a combined 28 MPG in combined city/highway driving. That breaks down to 25 MPG in the city, and 33 MPG on the highway, saving you an estimated $250 in fuel costs over 5 years compared to an average new vehicle. This is quite impressive, and given the rising cost of fuel, makes the Chevy Trax very attractive indeed!
