The start of this school year was different for our family. My daughter started middle school and my son was now in the 3rd grade and no longer had his sister in the same school with him. Middle school was not something I was mentally and emotionally prepared for but there we were, standing in front of her school ready to embark on the next chapter of her life.

How was this happening already? Wasn’t I just dropping her off to her first day of Kindergarten? It sure felt like it. Just another reminder that sending her off to college will be here before I know it. While I am not ready for that phase emotionally, that doesn’t mean that as a parent we can be ready financially with a prepaid college plan.

With open enrollment upon us, now is the time for us to do so (If we haven’t already).
