Although I haven’t done much to get the kids back to school ready except buy my daughter a back pack, I am happy to report that they have at least gotten their hair cuts! At least now I can check that off the list.
Not only did they get haircuts, they also helped a child in need get one too…through Hair Cuttery’s Share-A-Haircut program.
2016 marks the 17th year of Share-A-Haircut, with Hair Cuttery’s most recent campaign donating 55,000 haircuts to victims of domestic violence this past spring. Since 1999, the Share-A-Haircut program has donated more than 1.89 million free haircut certificates valued at nearly $30.35 million.
From August 1-15, for every child up to age 18 who purchases a haircut at one of Hair Cuttery’s nearly 900 salons, one free haircut certificate will be donated to a disadvantaged child in the community.
We participated in this event last year and I am so happy to have participated in it again this year! Don’t forget to stop by Hair Cuttery through August 15th to participate in the Share-A-Haircut 2016 event. You can look for a Hair Cuttery location near you here.
Now to work on doing everything else I need to do to get the kids ready for back to school!
