As a mom, I am saddened to hear stories about children who are suffering all over the world with no food to eat, clean water to drink or even blankets to keep them warm. While that is saddening, I am encouraged because there are ways we can get involved and do something to help them. Especially on a day like today, Giving Tuesday.

Having visited the Dominican Republic earlier this year with World Vision, I am happy to be partnering with them once again to do what we can to help provide infants blankets that will keep them warm and prevent them from getting sick. Even in warmer places, keeping infants warm is essential to keeping them healthy and can prevent pneumonia and other diseases in those first months. They also use blankets in colder countries like Armenia, and after disasters to help breastfeeding mothers have privacy when they aren’t able to be in their homes.

Today is Giving Tuesday! Any gift given to World Vision today will be generously matched with a product donation from Thirty-One Gifts, up to $2,000,000. Last year, Thirty-One Gifts generously matched $1,000,000 of Giving Tuesday donations to World Vision with product to be used in our programs, which including blankets which were used as receiving and swaddling blankets for newborns.

This Giving Tuesday, Thirty-One Gifts has renewed their matching offer … and doubled it! Which means that any donation you make will have twice the impact for helping families in need around the world.

Want to give this Giving Tuesday? It’s simple. Choose any item to donate through World Vision today or make a direct donation to support new mothers and their infants. I recommend the New Mother and Baby Kit!
