Having the kiddos take a picture with Santa is something that I try to do every year. Even as an adult, I love getting a picture with him as well, which is why I also try to get a family picture with Santa. This year was no exception and I actually did it earlier than I ever have in the past.
This past Saturday evening, my family and I put on our color coordinated outfits and headed on over to Aventura Mall for their special Santa’s Arrival event. Not only did we get to take a family picture with Santa but we also got to see his magical entrance into his workshop.
This year, Aventura Mall debuted a new Santa’s Workshop display that includes 10-foot mirror–mosaic gift boxes, 10-foot teddy bears and an elaborate light and sound show!
Before making his way into the giant sized ornament, that will serve as the official picture spot, we were able to enjoy a some special holiday festivities that included music, juggling, dancing and various characters all dressed up.
It was our first time experiencing Santa’s arrival at Aventura Mall and we really enjoyed it. I suggest you arrive there about half an hour earlier so that you can either stand in front (for the best view) or to stand in line for your photos with Santa. If you don’t happen to get a spot out front, head on over to the 2nd floor of Bloomingdale’s for a nice view.
While you’re at Aventura Mall, you should definitely make the time to experience the immersive three-dimensional LED “snowfall” experience near Nordstrom and the exterior “Illumination” with nearly one million glistening lights. Your family can also enjoy Aventura’s Model Train Station (which I have heard is always popular). Oh, you can also now enjoy exclusive offers, store experiences, restaurant tastings, gift wrapping and more.
Make your holiday shopping a memorable holiday experience for you and the family!
This post is written on behalf of Aventura Mall, but ALL opinions about our magical Santa experience remain my own.
