There is something about animal encounters that make me grin from cheek to cheek…I absolutely love them! That pretty much explains why my cheeks hurt after visiting Lion Country Safari for a Truly Nolen event I was invited too, I spent most of the day smiling.
Lion Country Safari Animal Encounters
We started off with their Drive-Through Safari and while you normally do this in your own vehicle (or a van you can rent from them if you want to go in a big group), I was able to experience it inside the comforts of The Truly Nolen Stretch Limo.
Their drive-through preserve is divided into seven sections where you will see the following animals:
Las Pampas: Aldabra tortoise, Brazilian Tapir, Florida Brown Pelican, Alpaca, Greater Rhea
Ruaha National Park: Greater Kudu, Impala, Ostrich
Kalahari Bushveldt: Nile Lechwe, Ostrich, Scimitar-Horned Oryx
Gir Forest: Asiatic Water Buffalo, Nilgai, Blackbuck, Kulan
The Gorongosa Reserve: African Lion
The Serengeti Plains: Common Eland, Ostrich, Wildebeest, Common Waterbuck, Ankole Cattle – Watusi, Impala
Hwange National Park: Southern White Rhinoceros, Common Zebra, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Chimpanzee, White-Handed Gibbon, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Greater Kudu, Lowland Nyala
Once you’ve made your way through the drive-through safari, park and go enjoy the Walk-Through Safari & amusement Park where you’ll get to enjoy various SafariWorld Entertainment: animal displays and encounters, animal feeding experiences, 5 rides, water sprayground, food, shopping and more. **But since this post is focused on animal encounters, I want to highlight their animal shows, giraffe feeding and flamingo feeding experiences.
Sit and enjoy show performances with some really cool animals.
*Pia, a great horned owl
*Fred, a Dumeril’s Boa
With all the animal encounters and experiences, you are sure to have a memorable experience at Lion Country Safari. Enjoy Numerous Animal Encounters at Lion Country Safari, I definitely did!!!
*Truly Nolen Pest Control provided me with a complimentary mouse limo ride as well as some TRULY fun swag and Lion Country Safari provided us with a complimentary VIP tour & activities as well as some WILD swag as part of the #TRULYonSafari event. All opinions are my own.
