So I am off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of all! Well I will be in about 9 hours. Here’s some of what we will be doing/enjoying while in LA:
Wednesday, 2/13:
* Walking the red carpet premiere of OZ THE GREAT AND (hoping to not fall flat on my face since I am wearing heels)
* Premiere Screening of OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL (I can’t wait to see this prequel!)
* Premiere Party for OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL (I’ve seen the guest list and this should be fun!)
Thursday, 2/14:
* Headed to the Walt Disney Animation Studios for the WRECK-IT RALPH In Home Press Day where we’ll
- Sit down with members of the story department to understand the creation of a character and walk through its various stages of development
- Discuss the development of “Ralph” and his world with key team members
- See a demonstration of how characters such as “Ralph” are brought to life and given a full range of movements
- Follow the animation process of a character from origination to finished scenes
- Get a hands-on demonstration of the motion capture system used to design the characters movements
* We’ll also get a MULAN In Home Presentation with Director Tony Bancroft and his brother, Supervising Animator of the character “Mushu”, Tom Bancroft
* Get a Property Tour of the Langham Huntington Hotel (Emily from the Bachelorette got married here)
* Going to an OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL themed junket reception where we’ll get to see a magician and the OZ hot air balloon. (I want to take a ride in it but I don’t see that happening…maybe if I ask really nicely??)
