If I were to say “Follow the yellow brick road”, you would immediately think of The Wizard of Oz (or at least you should have anyways). While I won’t be following the yellow brick road (even though that would be interesting), I will be following the red carpet for Disney’s new and upcoming film, Oz The Great and Powerful. I am absolutely excited to say the least! I will be flying out to LA to meet 24 other bloggers and we’ll be staying at the Langham Huntington Hotel located in beautiful Pasadena. If you’re a fan of the show The Bachelor and the Bachelorette you may recognize the hotel because that’s also the same hotel where the Bachelorette’s Ashley & JP got married on TV last month.
Not only am I excited about seeing the movie, which looks incredible…I mean, have you seen the preview??? (you can check it out below) but as an added bonus we’ll be walking the red carpet at Hollywood’s famous El Capitan Theatre.
am also excited because we’ll also be interviewing its cast including James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Zach Braff, Joey King and Director Sam Raimi. Even as I type this, I still can’t believe it! Is there anything you want to know? If so, comment below or tweet me your question with the #DisneyOzEvent hashtag.
While in LA we’ll also be attending a press day at Walt Disney Animation Studios for the In-Home release of WRECK-IT RALPH on 3/5. My family and loved this film so I am definitely looking forward to this as well.
There will be alot exciting things going on during those 3 days, so follow along with myself and the 24 other bloggers with the hashtag #DisneyOzEvent.
Synopsis: When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.
