Now you can enter the amazing world of Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Whether its at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida or at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, get ready for a fully immersive experience. So immersive, that every single Disney cast member that you meet will have their own unique backstory related to Batuu, so be sure to ask them about it.

The Millenium Falcon

Inspired by the the Star Wars franchise, there is so much you can do which is why I want to make sure that you get the most out of your experience by doing all of the following I list below during your time in Batuu.

5 Ways to Make The Most of Your Time on Batuu

Take a ride in the Millenium Falcon on Smuggler’s Run

Better yet, you can actually fly the Millenium Falcon if you get to be the pilot. I have been both the engineer and the pilot and LOVED being the pilot.

Tip: Cut down your wait time by going in the Single Rider Line. The only down fall is that you won’t get the chance to be the pilot as you will be added on to the end of a group and will most likely be an Engineer.

Try the Blue Milk

There are actually two different milk flavors to try, blue Bantha milk from Tatooine and green Thala-Siren milk from Ach-To. While the vote is still out on which one tastes better, every one I have spoken to has told me that the blue milk tastes better frozen.

Visit Oga’s Cantina

Step inside this notorious local watering hole where you can unwind, indulge in unique concoctions and enjoy some music (which I really enjoyed).

Tip: I would suggest you making a reservation but if that doesn’t work out for you, fear not. We were able to get inside bright and early in the morning.

Build a Droid

Head on over to Droid Depot so that you can build your own custom R-series or B-series droids. A bit on the pricey side, $99, they may very well be worth it given that they interact with the park itself, reacting to the different areas that you visit.

Take in all the sights & meet the characters

While there be sure to take in all the sights that truly make it feel like Batuu and be on the lookout for special characters like Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, Rey and Vi Moradi

Tip: Vi Moradi tends to keep a low profile so you’ll have to really pay attention when looking for her.

What else you should know about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Red Star Wars ship

  • You can’t wear your Star Wars costumes if you are over the age of 14 but that shouldn’t stop you from getting into character.
  • Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be open during Extra, Extra Magic Hours for guests that are staying at Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels from Sept. 1 to Nov. 2. These Extra, Extra Magic Hours are being offered every morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Blue Star Wars Ship

  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, an amusement park ride is set to open on Walt Disney’s birthday and from what I have heard, it will be out of this world (yes, pun was intended). I am super excited about heading back to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to experience it.
